The AI for Earth API Platform is a distributed infrastructure designed to provide a secure, scalable, and customizable API hosting, designed to handle the needs of long-running/asynchronous machine learning model inference. While we built this platform with inference in mind, it is a generic API hosting platform and can be used to host any API service. This platform has been designed to work with APIs developed using the AI for Earth base container images and framework. When API container images are built from our base images they can be "dropped into" this platform to take advantage of all of its distributed properties.
