DigitalOcean Articles & Tutorials

One of DigitalOcean's articulated goals is to build up a large, comprehensive, and beautifully written collection of tutorials. Because documentation often gets out-of-date quickly, this repo exists to allow the DigitalOcean Community to help keep it up to date!

  • Contributors: @vDevices
  • Feedback: Please submit questions, suggestions, comments or smart-remarks via GitHub's Issues ticketing system.
  • Contributing: Contributions are more than welcome. If you have a new document you'd like to donate and/or modifications to an existing document that you'd like to offer, please submit Pull Requests against the master branch – if you need help with this process, check out GitHub's articles on Collaborating.
  • Compensation: DigitalOcean is still offering $50 per tutorial written. To learn more, check out Get Paid to Write Tutorials.

Criteria

Articles submitted need to satisfy the criteria described in Get Paid to Write Tutorials | DigitalOcean. One option is to write your article in Markdown.

Markdown

Markdown is a text-to-HTML conversion tool for web writers. Markdown allows you to write using an easy-to-read, easy-to-write plain text format, then convert it to structurally valid XHTML (or HTML). See Markdown Intro. by John Gruber.
