This project allows you to extract and compare video tags from a given YouTube video and other related videos, providing insights into popular tags within a specific niche, and further apply them to specified videos.

Prerequisites

Before utilizing this tool, ensure you have the following:

  • Python 3.7 or a higher version installed on your system
  • YouTube Data API credentials (API key)

Getting Started

To begin using the YouTube Video Tags Tool, follow these steps:

  1. Clone the repository to your local machine using the command:
git clone https://github.com/XtremeMilan/Youtube-Video-Tags-Analyzer.git
  1. Install the required Python dependencies by running:
pip install -r requirements.txt
  1. Obtain your YouTube Data API credentials:

    • Visit the Google Developers Console.
    • Create or select a project.
    • Enable the YouTube Data API v3.
    • Generate an API key restricted to the YouTube Data API.
  2. Once you have your API key, replace 'YOUR_API_KEY' with your actual key in the main.py file.

Usage

  1. Execute the program with the command:
python main.py
  1. The tool will retrieve top tags from related videos and update the specified video's tags using the YouTube API.

  2. Check the updated tags for your video on the YouTube Studio dashboard.
