How Do I Become a World Class Blockstack Evangelist?

What is a Blockstack evangelist?

A Blockstack evangelist is:

  • Someone who is passionate about the Blockstack platform and ideals
  • Willing to share with fellow evangelists
  • Part product marketer, part developer/tinkerer, maybe both!

What are the product areas that I should learn to become a Blockstack expert?

The three pillars of the Blockstack Stack could be described as follows:

  1. Decentralized Identity
  2. Decentralized Storage (Gaia)
  3. Discovery/Replication (Atlas)

(whitepaper link)

Below are other areas of knowledge that will be helpful, with some component pieces identified. If there is more you would like to see below please open an issue or PR!

System Architecture (note: this will be changing in coming releases)

  1. Component Architecture (forum link) & Blockstack layers (whitepaper)
  2. Blockstack Core API (api docs)
  3. blockstack-core (runs the atlas network) vs blockstack api (provides a REST interface)
  4. Virtualchain (repo)
  5. Blockstack Browser (repo)
  6. Gaia Hubs (repo)

Decentralized Storage (Gaia)

  1. Basics - Storage Layers, basic file operations (blockstack.js)
  2. Multi-Reader data access (Open an issue/PR to add this!)
  3. Driver API (repo)
