Optimal Lot Calculator

The goal of this project is to create a software that determines optimal lot size (Q) and reorder point (R) for a given data. The software should first request the costs (unit cost, ordering cost, penalty cost) and interest rate. Then, it should also determine the holding cost based on the unit cost and interested rate provided. The software should request the lead time, lead time demand, and lead time standard deviation.The software determines the annual demand based on the lead time and lead time demand provided.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

  • Java SE Development Kit 8 or higher
  • Maven 3.6.3 or higher

Installlation

  1. Clone the repo
git clone https://github.com/Zeesky-code/Optimal-Lot-Calculator.git
  1. Open the project in your IDE
  2. Navigate to the project root directory
cd Optimal-Lot-Calculator
  1. Build the project
mvn clean install
  1. Run the project
java -jar OLCalculator.jar

Usage

  1. Run the software
  2. Enter the required inputs as requested by the software
  3. The software will calculate and display the decision variables and performance measures
