Miscellaneous utilities for a game known as Endless Sky

Why is this tool called winters?: This tool is named after one of Endless Sky's characters, Freya Winters.
Installation
Unix/Linux/Mac
git clone https://github.com/a-random-lemurian/winters.git
cd winters
rm -rf .git # Optional
pip install --editable --user . # You can use a flag of your choice
- Your way of calling pip may be different. Feel free to use
python -m piporpython3 -m piporpython3.10 -m pip, whichever works best for you.
Windows
Windows is not supported
Windows support is not a priority at the moment. Install Winters at your own risk. Installation instructions are currently not provided for Windows. You are expected to figure it out yourself. However, here are some hints.
You must have:
- Git (to download with
git clone)- Python (the whole thing is written in Python and no, I won't rewrite it in C++ for you)
- Knowledge of how to use the Command Prompt
If you are feeling brave, feel free to do the following:
- Ask for help in the Endless Sky discord server.
Copy-paste untrusted dangerous commands from Stack Overflow.- Pray to Freya Winters and convince Her to help you install Winters.
