Set up your allowed data in User.php

private $_sessionKeys = array(
  'hairColor'
);

//	Usage: 

// set a piece of data
\Yii::$app->user->hairColor = "blonde";
echo \Yii::$app->user->hairColor;

// throws an error because the key is not present
\Yii::$app->user->eyeColor = "blue";
