Student Records Management System

Overview

This is a command-line tool for managing student records stored in a MySQL database. It allows users to view, add, edit, and delete student records interactively.

Requirements

• Bash (Bourne Again Shell)
• MySQL client

Installation

1. Clone this repository to your local machine:

   git clone : https://github.com/aash-gates/Student-Management-System-using-SHELL--Hosting_Raja
   

2. Navigate to the project directory:

   cd student-records-management
   

3. Make the main script executable:

   chmod +x student_records.sh
   

Configuration

1. Open the student_records.sh script in a text editor.
2. Set the database connection details (hostname, port, username, password, dbname) in the script.

Usage

1. Run the main script:

   ./student_records.sh
   

2. Follow the on-screen instructions to navigate the menu and manage student records.

Functionality

• View all student records
• Add a new student record
• Edit an existing student record
• Delete a student record
• Exit the program
