Introduction

This repository contains a Laravel application. This README provides instructions on how to clone the repository, install the application, and run it locally.

Cloning the Repository

  1. On the main page of the repository, click on the Code button (usually located at the top right).
  2. In the dropdown, click on HTTPS and copy the provided link.
  3. Open a terminal on your local machine.
  4. Navigate to the directory where you want to clone the repository.
  5. Run the command git clone [paste the copied link here].

Installing the Application

Before you install the Laravel application, ensure you have Composer installed on your machine. Composer is a tool for dependency management in PHP.

  1. Navigate into the cloned repository using cd [repository name].
  2. Install the application's dependencies by running composer install.

Configuring the Application

  1. Copy the .env.example file and rename the copy to .env.
  2. Run php artisan key:generate to generate an application key. This will be automatically added to your .env file.
  3. In the .env file, update the database connection details (DB_HOST, DB_PORT, DB_DATABASE, DB_USERNAME, DB_PASSWORD) to match your local database configuration.

Running the Application

  1. Run php artisan serve to start the Laravel development server.
  2. Open your web browser and visit http://localhost:8000.
