This repository contains a Laravel application. This README provides instructions on how to clone the repository, install the application, and run it locally.
- On the main page of the repository, click on the
Code
button (usually located at the top right). - In the dropdown, click on
HTTPS
and copy the provided link. - Open a terminal on your local machine.
- Navigate to the directory where you want to clone the repository.
- Run the command
git clone [paste the copied link here]
.
Before you install the Laravel application, ensure you have Composer installed on your machine. Composer is a tool for dependency management in PHP.
- Navigate into the cloned repository using
cd [repository name]
. - Install the application's dependencies by running
composer install
.
- Copy the
.env.example
file and rename the copy to.env
. - Run
php artisan key:generate
to generate an application key. This will be automatically added to your.env
file. - In the
.env
file, update the database connection details (DB_HOST, DB_PORT, DB_DATABASE, DB_USERNAME, DB_PASSWORD) to match your local database configuration.
- Run
php artisan serve
to start the Laravel development server. - Open your web browser and visit
http://localhost:8000
.
