Getting Started

Prerequisite

Go ahead and check the most recent version of each of these:

  • Ruby (ruby --version)
  • SQLite3 (sqlite3 --version)
  • Node.js (node --version)
  • Yarn (yarn --version)
  • Rails (rails --version)

Clone this repository

To clone the repo run:

git clone https://github.com/abdulhamiid/budget-app.git

To access the cloned directory, run:

cd blog-app

Install the required dependecies with:

bundle install

Install npm dependencies with:

npm install

Before running below commands update config/database.yml with your local DBcredentials. Then run:

rake db:create
rake db:migrate
rake db:seed
