NY Farmers Markets: Interactive map and admin portal. Let local foodies marry the tech savy and bring sustainable farming into the 21st century. This is a mobile first application.
It's alive: http://www.farmers-markets.nyc
- Every farmers' market in New York State is on this map
- As the key indicates, from a quick glance users can see which markets accept EBT and which don't
- Markets that are open today are opaque and highlighted, vs markets that are closed today are less opaque
- So the markets that are open today are easy to see!
- On click of a market you can view its hours and more info
- You can get directions (walking/biking/transit/car) from your current location to a market
