Rescue the Read The Docs documentation
Closed this issue · 2 comments
We cannot currently build our documentation. It seems that:
- My read the docs account points to an old email address I no longer have access to (and they are requiring a confirmation email to login)
- The webhook which triggers the docs build no longer works as it is missing a secret (which is now required by read the docs, as of the start of this year)
I need a read the docs account to contact support, so I am going to create a new account and get in contact with them. I'll point them to this issue and hope that they will either update the email address on the account, or at least trigger a build of the docs.
UPDATE: Support request submitted at 22:45 CET, 27 June:
I am locked out of the account with username
adamcharnock
. I am locked out
because I no longer have access to the email address[redacted]
and I am being prompted by RTD to complete a confirm-your-email when I login.
I am sorry about this, I just haven't had to login to RTD for a very long time
as it has been working very smoothly. The account in question is connected to my github account (also
adamcharnock
),
and I have also created the following issue which outlines the problem
one of my open source projects is facing:I am hoping that these factors are sufficient to verify that I am who I say I am.
Can you update the email address on account
adamcharnock
to be
[redacted]
(note that I used[redacted]
for this
temporary account that I contact you from now, in hope of avoiding a conflict). If you need anything else from me please let me know.
I've updated the docs title to indicate it is retired. If support can only trigger a build then at least the docs will reflect that they should be ignored.
Access restored thanks to RTD support!
