We are trying to build the latest version of pybct in a Spack package (for EBRAINS distribution, as a 3rd party dependency in tvb).
For us is more convenient to use the tar.gz from Pypi.
Is there a reason why for your latest release 0.6.1, only the whl file is present?

I submit to pypi in the easiest way and don't think about it that much.
Isnt it easy to compile from the wheel distribution?
