  • What could go wrong with ML? (November, Florianópolis) - This was a participation in Prof. Pozzobon econometrics course (UDESC) to talk some extra topics of maximum likelihood estimation and introduction to bayesian methods. In Portuguese.

  • VAR models (November, Florianópolis) - This was a participation in Prof. Pozzobon time series course (UDESC) to talk some aditional topics on VAR models. In Portuguese.

  • Econometric Games SP (November, São Paulo) - The third edition of the Econometric Games Brazil was held in Insper and had 10 teams competing in a one-day competition to solve an econometric problem. Our goal was to evaluate if the presence of a public health program in the city had influence in children attending schools ten years later. Here are the slides (we ended in 4th place).   • Indicadores Sociais (November, Florianópolis) - This was a participation in prof. Fachinello class (UFSC) to talk about social indexes. In Portuguese.

  • ESOBE (October, New Orleans) - This was a poster presentation at the European Seminar on Bayesian Econometrics, held at the FED in New Orleans, Lousiana. Paper is available here. In English.

  • SAECO (October, Florianópolis-SC)- This was an invited short course I gave (more like a 2h talk) about bayesian econometrics, presented at the economics undergraduate week at UFSC. The material is in Portuguese.

  • SINAPE (September, São Pedro-SP) - The slides of my oral presentation (using preliminary results from my master thesis) at the 23th Brazilian Symposium on Probability and Statistics (Sinape). There is also a poster that I presented there as well, related to my undergraduate thesis. In Portuguese.

  • FMTC-Br (August, Rio de Janeiro-RJ) - The FMTC-Br was inspired in the original competition that is held in Cape Town every year with graduate students (more info here). These are the slides from my team's presentation; we worked with gaussian processes with applications in Delta hedging. The final report is available here. With P. Casgrain, L. Meireles, M. Andrade.   • YSI Latin America Convening 2018 (July, Buenos Aires - Argentina) - Paper, codes and slides of my oral presentation (with some of the things I were studying for my master thesis). In English.

  • EBEB (March, Rio de Janeiro-RJ) - My poster presented at the Brazilian School on Bayesian Statistics, held at IMPA in Rio de Janeiro. This work is an updated version from an empirical application developed in one of the chapters of my undergraduate thesis in economics, which is available here. The poster is in English, the thesis, in Portuguese.

  • Economics Welcome Week (February, Florianópolis-SC) - Slides from my invited presentation at the welcome week at the economics department of ESAG/UDESC. The session included the best undergraduate thesis from the previous year. In Portuguese.

  • TDC Florianópolis (April, Florianópolis-SC) - Slides from my joint talk with M. Magrin at The Developer's Conference, entitled "One Day in a Data Scientist's Life". The video can be seen here. In Portuguese.

  • ERAD (April, Ijuí-RS) - These are the materials from my short course about fundamentals of statistics for performance analysis that ocurred at the Regional School of High Performance Computing. Jointly with F. Boito and L. Pilla. In Portuguese.
