I keep getting this error, I have all the basic code. Nothing new.

@iki789 Which version of rxjs you are using in the project?
FYI rxjs version should be > 6.

@coderajay I'm using rxjs 5.5.6 with angular 5.2.0 and i'm facing the same problem

Two options

  1. You can use angular-inport@1.1.0 which gonna work with rxjs 5.5.x.

  2. You can upgrade rxjs version to 6 and to support angular@5 use rxjs-compact.
