Install with reference to here

npm install @apollo/client graphql

Codegen

1. Install its CLI with reference to here

npm install -D @graphql-codegen/cli

2. Install its plugins with reference to here

npm install -D @graphql-codegen/typed-document-node
npm install -D @graphql-codegen/typescript
npm install -D @graphql-codegen/typescript-operations

3. Configure the plugin

Create or update your codegen.yaml file as follows:

schema: http://my-graphql-api.com/graphql
documents: "./src/**/*.graphql"
generates:
  ./src/generated.ts:
    plugins:
      - typescript
      - typescript-operations
      - typed-document-node

4. Run the codegen

npx graphql-codegen
