Attendance is limited to only some students

It started about a month ago where the attendance (HTML report too) bars would no longer track everyone correctly. It tracks usually 8 people well. Then it stopped tracking anyone so I reinstalled extension . Now it remembers classes again and has basic attendance but doesn't track times well.. Towards the end of class, we break into two groups and it then shows bars for 8 students who remain for a time. The only change I've made in settings is to add to the ignore list (the phrase Others, 1,2 3,....) I have no other extensions running, it's a clean copy of Chrome. In the tool bar there is no warning icon, and I set the GM to tile view and 49 students (although I never have over 30).

Computer: W10 home, Google Chrome is not synched or on school network, I have full control.
