- cd into this repo's local version $ sudo docker-compose build $ sudo docker-compose up
install java:
* sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:webupd8team/java
* sudo apt-get update
* sudo apt-get -y install oracle-java8-installer
elasticsearch:
* wget https://download.elastic.co/elasticsearch/elasticsearch/elasticsearch-1.7.2.deb
*sudo dpkg -i elasticsearch-1.7.2.deb
-NOTE: This results in Elasticsearch being installed in /usr/share/elasticsearch/ with its configuration files placed in /etc/elasticsearch and its init script added in /etc/init.d/elasticsearch
-(Optional) To make sure Elasticsearch starts and stops automatically with the Droplet, add its init script to the default runlevels with the command: $ sudo update-rc.d elasticsearch defaults
* add lines to /etc/elasticsearch/elasticsearch.yaml
http.cors.enabled: true
http.cors.allow-origin: "*"
* Run with: $ sudo /usr/share/elasticsearch/bin/elasticsearch & >/dev/nul
* Copy line to /etc/hosts:
127.0.0.1 elasticsearch
