Polly Speaks

Polly Speaks uses AWS Polly to convert text to speech. The application is written using Java with Swing for the graphical user interface.

Current features

  • Convert text to speech using any of AWS Pollys supported languages and voices.
  • Open/Save text files (*.txt).
  • Save synthesized text to audio files. Supports mp3, ogg and pcm.
  • Use Speech Synthesis Markup Language to customize the speech.

To use the application you must have your own AWS credentials. For more details see the AWS Developer Guide.

The code is made available under the MIT license.

The icons used in the application are from the Java look and feel Graphics Repository, which is made available by Oracle under the license for software graphics artwork.
