SportShield Project

SportShield is a security system developed to protect individual users' valuable equipment, initially targeting skis and snowboards. The system integrates cutting-edge technology to provide robust physical security, including a multi-layered cable and electromagnetic lock mechanism.

Additionally, SportShield incorporates smart features such as:

  • A 6-DoF IMU is a sensor module that measures the acceleration and angular velocity of an object in three dimensions (often referred to as 6 degrees of freedom). It combines both accelerometer (allows detection of movement along the three axes of an object.) and gyroscope(enables detection of rotational movements around the three axes) sensors.

  • A GPRS connectivity for notifications allows for the creation of devices capable of detecting and responding to various movements or changes in orientation,

  • A mobile app for remote control and tracking.
