Dynamic data binding

I hope I'm not asking a stupid question, I can't see how to bind to a ObservableCollection property on a view model. I want to be able to change the menu context by context. Can you please give me some pointers?
Can you elaborate more on that? I cannot grasp what you are trying to achieve.
I want to put the hambugerMenu in a "Menu User Control" with its own ViewModel. The ViewModel will contain a collection of HambugerMenuItems.
The view model items list can then be updated/changed when a parent container view changes.
e.g. a default menu list could be "File, Print, Save" when a user clicks Save then the menu items list could be changed to "Save, Save As, Cancel" etc
I want a way to manage a context sensitive menu list.
Thanks for any help

Sorry thinking about it, all I am saying is to bind HambugerItems to a list on a Viewmodel
