Anti-Cancer_Drug_Activity_Prediction

This competition is a bioassay task for anticancer activity prediction, where each chemical compound is represented as a graph, with atoms representing nodes and bonds as edges. A chemical compound is positive against non-small cell lung cancer, or negative otherwise.

Covid_19

Different classifiers (KNN - logistic regression - naive bayes - decision tree - SVM) are designed to predict the outcome of COVID-19 (death/recovery) when a new person is admitted to the hospital.

Datting_match_prediction

we are going to predict the outcome of a specific speed dating session based on the profile of two people, so we can implement a recommendation system to better match people in speed dating events. We did have another online dating dataset (Tinder-like) but that one is super dirty which requires extensive cleaning, so we do this one instead.

Fake_Reddit_Prediction

False information on the Internet has caused many social problems due to the raise of social network and its role in different domains such as politics. In this assignment, we are going to predict if a specific reddit post is fake news or not, by looking at its title. The data is raw (contains various forms of words)

For this project my team and I used Spark and a suite of relevant big data tools to analyze social media data for gaining insights into user behavior to a particular brand or product, and how users are engaging with the social media content.
