Computer Vision demos using Kinect

Primary LanguageC++

INTRODUCTION
------------

Kinect is a motion sensing input device by Microsoft for the Xbox 360 video game console and Windows PCs.
Based around a webcam-style add-on peripheral for the Xbox 360 console, it enables users to control and interact with the
Xbox 360 without the need to touch a game controller, through a natural user interface using gestures commands. (wikipedia)

This repository holds source codes of various demos regarding the Kinect usage for computer vision based application on Freescale's i.MX6 Processors.

all demos requires the following dependences:

1 - OpenCV
2 - OpenKinect
3 - Gstreamer
4 - OpenGL ES 2.0

DEMOS
-----

1 - Kinect-Simple - Just output the RGB and depth image as textures for 2 GL planes - (DONE)
2 - Hand-Detection - Performs hand detection with dynamic background segmentation - (ON GOING)

BUILDING
--------

1 - get into ltib shell: ./ltib -m shell
2 - make

the following makefile can be used as an example for building the demos apps.

APPNAME			= kinect_hand_detection
DESTDIR			= ../bin

LD = g++

DEL_FILE		= rm -rf
CP_FILE			= cp -rf

                                -I. -I../usr/include \

LFLAGS			= -L../lib -lEGL -lGLESv2 -lpthread \
			-lcxcore -lcv -lcvaux -lhighgui -lml \
			-L/usr/lib \
			-lusb-1.0 -lfreenect \
