I agree we need to upgrade to the latest swig (and other dependencies). Want to make a pull request?

We have a problem: swig 1.x.x doesn't allow a variable parsing so that the dummy context can retrieve the variables.
In my opinion in this library the dummy context is useless, or at least I haven't used it yet.

What do you think? We remove that component to provide compatibility with the new swig?
