PROSPERO is a databse for prspectively registered systematic reviews for health. It aims to keep a comprehensive records of all the systematic reviews in progress to avoid duplication of effort and to reduce reporting bias by comparing the completed review against what has been planned in the protocol.
A: A systematic review is a type of review that tries to summarize the exsiting evidence in a narrow field. It is designed to provide comphrehensive evidence for a specific research question. It is widly used in public health, health care and public policy.
A: When conducting a systematic review, one should ideally submit a record to PROSPERO to eliminate reporting bias. There are many data items one needs to fill in for a PROSPERO application. This template is consistent for the Prospero application as of 02.19.2021. It will assist co-authors to collaborate and edits but submiting the official application.
