Simple Greeting App is an android app that shows an image and introductory message, and allows pressing a button to display a Toast.
Time spent: 2.5 hours spent in total
The following required functionality is completed:
- Image and introductory message displayed on screen
- Button displayed on screen
- Toast with message appears when button is pressed

Debugging the app to make it launch successfully in the emulator was the biggest challenge encountered in this prework. At a point, certain library has version exceeding the supported API of the Pixel emulator causing it to crash at launch. Spending some time to modify the dependencies, downgrading the version of the library fixed the issue.
