Partitioned Consumers

There are three different pull requests for partitioned consumers (#49, #81, and #86). The most recent of these PRs was in 2021. Are there plans going forward to merge these PRs or would a new (fourth PR) be the best way to get partitioned consumer support added to this project?

If a PR is considered "Ready for merge", I would be happy to review it.
I don't know the state of the PRs, so maybe a new one is better.
