This timed out for me (from home) - increase the timeout to 3600 (?) and mention the error and how to cope with it (further increase)

Thanks, happened also to me from university network quite a few times in the last months... The vignette now defines a 30 min timeout but honors R_DEFAULT_INTERNET_TIMEOUT user settings, if longer.
