A port of Sundown to JavaScript using Emscripten.
Emscripten basically works like this:
- Clang compiles C and C++ code to LLVM bitcode.
- A custom compiler hosted in node.js compiles the bitcode to JavaScript.
- Optionally, the Closure Compiler is used to optimize the JavaScript. (This page omitted the optimization pass so that the code would be more readable.)
This makes it really easy to use C and C++ libraries on the web. It's even been used to convert whole programs to JavaScript and web technologies, like DOOM.
