Description

To prepare demonstration version of CARLA according to benchmarking setup defined in #13

Purpose

To enable selection of simulation tools used in Autoware Projects

  • rosbag recorded and shared

As no AWF Partner prepared the Airport scene for CARLA, i tested it with default urban environment and default vehicle. I only modified sensors configuration - removed not needed sensors, changed parameters of sensors to be like in MORAI and TierIV and changed sensor_tick of LIDAR and camera to achieve desired frequency of 10Hz.

Test was performed using the instruction for carla-ros-bridge

CARLA_hz.png screenshot shows frequency of sensors (top - lidar, bottom - camera) published by the simulator (desired frequency 10 Hz)
