Getting Started

To get started with Shahada, follow these simple steps:

Install Hugo: If you haven't already, install Hugo Extended Version on your computer.
Create a new site: Create a new Hugo site by running the following command in your terminal:
```
hugo new site my-academic-site
```
Get inside your Hugo site folder using:
```
cd my-academic-site
```
Install Shahada theme: Inside your Hugo site's directory, run the following command to add Shahada theme:
```
git clone https://github.com/avicndugu/shahada-hugo-theme.git themes/shahada-hugo-theme
```
Alternatively, you can download and add the theme folder inside my-academic-site/themes/ folder.
Add Example content Copy everything inside the my-academic-site/themes/shahada-hugo-theme/exampleSite/ directory into the root of your Hugo site.
Customize your content: Update the contents of hugo.toml, data/hometext.yaml and data/navigation.yaml files with your own content.
Run Hugo server: Start the Hugo development server to preview your site locally:
```
hugo server
```
Build your site: Once you're satisfied with your changes, build your site for production:
```
hugo
```
