asset placement plugin for godot 4

Installation :

  • Copy bpb_placement folder into addons folder
  • enable bpb_placement in project settings

Usage :

  • Add a RootBasic node
  • Select the node
  • On bottom panel a new tab "Placement" is added
  • in Placement tab, add a new tab

In tab asset :

  • Add asset
  • Set to align Y with normal
  • Random rotation on X Y Z axis
  • Random scale. Randomized scale is uniform
  • Set tab name
  • Set how many columns asset grid has
  • Delete the tab

To place object, enable Active button then click on viewport

While placement is active, press :

R to enter rotate mode

  • press X Y Z to change rotation axis. Default is Y

S for Scale. Scale is uniform
