This open source obfuscator hopes to obfuscate python scripts and make the scripts unreadable / hard to decipher, since you can somehow retrieve the source code from de-compiling the Python bytecode.
Hacked together a semi-working version in a few hours, so it is rather immature, and some drinking was involved since I was in senior year of college and already landed a job :)
Obfuscation process inspired by one of the most famous Javascript obfuscator, /packer/
Currently there seems to be an issue where there could cause an infinite loop for some code. It is probably the indexing code that is having the issue. If you run into one, please add an issue so I can keep track. Thanks!
Future: Python 3 support! Currently code can only convert python 2 code (there are some weird issues that I have to solve in order to get python 3 code working, I may even create a new class for python 3).
v0.3: Used base64 to fix the backslash issues! (Thanks @jihop for the idea) Should be able to obfuscate any code, including already obfuscated code, and even obfuscator itself.
v0.2: changed the pack structure, still trying to fix the back slash problem.
v0.1: Basic hack, lots of bugs, cannot even obfuscate itself, or obfuscated code.
