Salient.News is a powerful Chrome extension designed to enhance your Twitter experience by giving you control over your timeline. Our mission is to provide a streamlined, personalized Twitter experience, free from the distraction of unwanted content.
Features Tweet Filter This is the inaugural feature of Salient.News - an intelligent Tweet Filter that removes specific tweets which you find annoying or irrelevant. Just provide an example tweet, and the tool learns what you don't want to see, helping to clean up your timeline.
Installation Currently, since Salient.News is not yet available on the Chrome Web Store, you will need to install it manually. Follow these instructions:
Download the Salient.News.zip file from the GitHub repository. Unzip the file into a directory of your choice. Open Chrome and navigate to chrome://extensions/. Enable Developer Mode by clicking the toggle switch at the top right. Click the Load unpacked button and select the directory where you unzipped the Salient.News files. The Salient.News extension will now appear in your list of installed extensions. Usage Tweet Filter To use the Tweet Filter:
Navigate to Twitter and find a tweet that you'd like to filter out. Click on the 'Salient.News' extension button on your browser toolbar. Select 'Filter Tweet' option. Paste the tweet into the provided text box. Click 'Apply Filter' and enjoy your cleaner timeline. Contributing We value community contribution to improve Salient.News.
