NOTE : The PAM stack is by design a serialised authentication, so it is not possible for pam_fprintd to allow authentication through passwords and fingerprints at the same time.

In /etc/pam.d/common-auth add at the beginning of the file
auth sufficient pam_unix.so try_first_pass likeauth nullok
auth sufficient pam_fprintd.so timeout=10
At boot, you will still to unlock the gnome-keyring with your password.
