Terraform module which creates RDS resources on AWS.
Root module calls these modules which can also be used separately to create independent resources:
- db_instance - creates RDS DB instance
- db_subnet_group - creates RDS DB subnet group
- db_parameter_group - creates RDS DB parameter group
- db_option_group - creates RDS DB option group

Users have the ability to:

- This module does not create RDS security group. Use terraform-aws-security-group module for this.
- By default, the variable
create_random_password
is set to true. Therefore, even if the user provides a password, it will not be read. Thecreate_random_password
variable should be set to false and thepassword
variable should have a non-null value to be read and used. - For an RDS instance with
storage_type
usinggp3
, be aware thatiops
andstorage_throughput
cannot be specified if theallocated_storage
value is below a per-engine
