Installation

To build NixView from source you may follow these instructions. This software is under development and usually works with/requires the latest nix version. On Ubuntu-like systems you can use the launchpad ppa that provides pre-built packages:

 sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gnode/nix
 sudo apt-get update
 sudo apt-get install libnix-dev

On Fedora use the copr package available for 29+:

 sudo dnf copr enable jgrewe/nix
 sudo dnf install nixio-devel

For other build options refer to the documentation https://nixio.readthedocs.io/en/latest/installation.html

Ubuntu 14.04

sudo apt-get install qt5-default cmake libboost-regexp-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-date-time-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-system-dev libboost-filesystem-dev libcpptest
git clone https://github.com/bendalab/nixview.git
cd nixview
mkdir build
cd build
cmake ..
make -j 4
./nixview
