ngPittsburgh - Models, Views and Whatever

Downloading and Installing

  1. Either fork this repository and clone it locally, or download the zip and extract it to a folder.
  2. Install node.js if you haven't already done so.
  3. Open a terminal or command prompt and browse to the root directory of the project.
  4. Update node dependencies with npm install, this will install requirements for running the local webserver.
  5. Install bower if you haven't already done so: npm install -g bower This is used to pull down JavaScript dependencies.
  6. Install client JavaScript dependencies with bower: bower install

Run the web server

You can either browse the files from the file system (they're static after all), or you can spin up the Node.js server. To use the Node server:

  1. Open a terminal or command prompt and browse to the root directory of the project.
  2. Run: node app.js to start the web server.
  3. To stop the web server from the console, hit CTRL + C
