Node Receiver for Scrup

This is a simple node server that recieves and saves images from scrup, a OS X program that lets you save screenshots to a server and puts the image url in your clipboard.

The special part is that scrup-node-receiver doesn't write the images to disk, it holds the last 30 images in memory and as you go over that limit it drops the oldest image. Also scrup-node-receiver is ready to be deployed to heroku for ease of use.

Heroku Install

You will need to use the new heroku cedar stack to use scrup-node-receiver.

  1. First create the heroku app, heroku create --stack cedar
  2. Push the code to the app, git push heroku master
  3. Scale the web process, heroku ps:scale web=1

Now the heroku app should be deployed. Now you just need to take the URL that was returned when you created the heroku app to configure scrup.
