This is an iOS side-scrolling 2D aquatic-themed mobile game with single-handed gameplay. I used React Native, React Native Game Engine, Matter-JS and Ruby On Rails with PostgreSQL on the backend. Inspired by FlappyBird with an underwater twist.

Description

This is an iOS compatible side-scrolling, 2D, aquatic-themed, multi-level game that allows single-handed game-play. The object of the game is for a user to move their character across dangerous waters collecting Pellets in a given amount of time while avoiding other creatures and hooks. This game was inspired by FlappyBird but has an underwater twist.

Live Demo Instructions

To try out the game for yourself follow these instructions:

iPhone 8 or greater

  • Install the Expo Client app on your iPhone.
  • Navigate to this link on your iPhone's.
  • Click “Open with Expo”

Web Browser (Mac/Windows)

  • Navigate to this link.
  • Near the upper-right hand corner select the iOS tab to launch the built-in demo.
  • Alternatively you can click 'Run' at the next to the Search bar a the top of the page. This will reveal a QR code you can scan with an iPhone. (You will need to have Expo Client installed on your phone if you choose this option.) Once the app gets started you're ready to play!
