sb-tools provides functionality for managing your sandbox. Right now the toolset is relatively simple. To install, do a git checkout of this repo in your home directory cd git clone git://github.com/brettpaden/sb-tools.git To use, add the following lines to your .bash_profile: PATH=$PATH:$HOME/bin:$HOME/sb-tools/bin RUBYLIB=$RUBYLIB:$HOME/sb-tools/lib PROJECT=fuckthat SRCTOP=$HOME/src MYSQL_USER=web MYSQL_PWD=devpass export PATH export RUBYLIB export PROJECT export SRCTOP export MYSQL_USER export MYSQL_PWD To generate a mysql installation make sure you have sourced in .bash_profile, then run generate-mysql To stop and start the databae: sb-mysql stop|start|restart To generate an apache conf that will use passenger to deply your rails app (instead of the craptastic WEBbrtick): generate-apache-conf --railsapp web -P 10010 --project fuckthat --user paden source directory (src): optional api server (http://localhost:10011): socket 10010 is available ... building config New apache config file available here: /u/paden/apache/fuckthat_web.conf generate-apache-conf --railsapp core -P 10011 --project fuckthat --user paden source directory (src): optional api server (http://localhost:10012): socket 10011 is available ... building config New apache config file available here: /u/paden/apache/fuckthat_core.conf sb-daemons start To stop sb-deamons stop To restart sb-deamons restart
