Assembly programs for my TI-89 Titanium calculator, written in C
I was successful in setting up a develpment environment for programming my TI-89 Titanium calculator in C using Linux (Ubuntu 10.04 LTS). This is an attempt at sharing my experiences.
So you want to program your TI-89 calculator in C on Linux, eh? Here's how I did it with Ubuntu 10.04 LTS:
TIGCC allows you to write programs for your calculator in C and compile them into assembly. Unfortunatly, it was made for Windows, but it's nothing a little Wine can't handle.
sudo apt-get install wine
Download the latest version here (I'm using v0.95), unzip it, and run the installer. Be sure to install the "third party" tools when the installer asks.
TiLP is a program that allows you to transfer files to and from your calculator. You can use it to transfer your compiled programs to your calculator. Luckily installing it is as easy as:
sudo apt-get install tilp2
and running it is as easy as:
sudo tilp
When the program is running, right click on the left pane (the calculator side) and select "Change device". Chances are, TiLP will have detected your calculator automatically. Double click on it, and you should be in buisiness.
To transfer a compiled program, just drag it from the right pane (the file browser) to the left pane (the calculator) in the "variables" folder.
