These are my notes on what I did to my Hobby King Transceiver Telemetry Radio Set V2. Product page: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__55560__HKPilot_Transceiver_Telemetry_Radio_Set_V2_915Mhz_.html OS X: - Disable the Apple FTDI driver: cd /System/Library/Extensions/IOUSBFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns sudo mv AppleUSBFTDI.kext AppleUSBFTDI.disabled - Install the FTDI VCP drivers from http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm. It will place the driver into /Library/Extensions/FTDIUSBSerialDriver.kext. - Replace /Library/Extensions/FTDIUSBSerialDriver.kext/Contents/Info.plist with the Info.plist in this repository. - We edited the KEXT so its signature won't match its contents, so Mach won't load it. Disable sig checking in Mach: sudo nvram boot-args=”kext-dev-mode=1 - Reboot. Plug in your radios. - Run: ls /dev | grep usbserial - You should see something like: cu.usbserial-AH030O8E cu.usbserial-AH030OZN tty.usbserial-AH030O8E tty.usbserial-AH030OZN - Test with {read, write}.sh
