Tree

This lib provides the tree datatype according to the node 62 from the School of Informatics’ Standard ML ’97 on-line tutorial.

Depends on MLton with SuccessorML.

Installing

Install Smackage and run:

smackage source tree git https://github.com/cacilhas/tree.git
smackage refresh
smackage get tree

Usage

In your MLBasis add the entry:

$(SMACKAGE)/tree/v1/tree.mlb

API and Examples

Creating a node:

val node = Tree.node(0, Tree.empty, Tree.empty)

The Tree.node expects a 3-element tuple: the value, the left node, and the right node. Tree.empty is an empty node.

The funs that deals with nodes:

Tree.depth : 'a tree -> int returns the tree depth
Tree.size : 'a tree -> int returns the size of the tree
Tree.value : 'a tree -> 'a option returns the value bound to the node

Testing

Install UnitTestML and Pipelines, and run:

mlton tests/test.mlb
./tests/test
