Overview

The Aquifer Bible App is a React Native application built with Expo, designed to interact with the Aquifer Bible API. This app provides users with access to various Bible resources, including study materials, dictionaries, and multilingual content.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have met the following requirements:

  • Node.js (v14.0.0 or later)
  • npm (v6.0.0 or later)
  • Expo CLI (npm install -g expo-cli)
  • An Aquifer API key (sign up at Aquifer Bible API)

Installation

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/yourusername/aquifer-bible-app.git
    cd aquifer-bible-app
    
  2. Install dependencies:

    npm install
    
  3. Create a .env file in the root directory and add your Aquifer API key:

    AQUIFER_API_KEY=your_api_key_here
    

Running the App

To start the development server:

npm start

This will open the Expo DevTools in your browser. You can then run the app on an iOS or Android simulator, or scan the QR code with the Expo Go app on your physical device.
