cargo install diesel_cli --no-default-features --features postgres - insomnia (api testing client)
You must start the docker container with
docker compose up -d
then you can run. First you will need to in the api directory
cd api
diesel setup // only need to do this once
make run
I have included an export file named insomnia_export which you and import into
insomnia and hit the api with insomnia or use the copy to curl option to use product curl commands
I left the debug binary if you would like to run the binary (note it the binary was compiled on a M2 mac so it may not work but running cargo new should work)
Creating a story throws and error you will need to have a valid user_id and same goes with comments must have a valid story_id
Had some issue with my postgres installation using brew but running this command helped
sudo mkdir -p /usr/local/lib && sudo ln -s /opt/homebrew/opt/postgresql@14/lib/postgresql@14/libpq.5.dylib /usr/local/lib/libpq.5.dylib
