Introduction

Revamped Combat is a gameplay-oriented mod collection for Grand Theft Auto IV aimed at making the combat more difficult yet engaging. This GitHub page hosts developer content such as Used Tools & Source Codes, as well as downloads for all versions. This is mostly a modification collection. Proper credits are seen in the download (see Credits folder) or on the GTAForums page.

Features

Fixes

  • All weapon reloading sounds have been fixed.
  • All weapon reloading animations have been fixed.
  • SMG drive-bying fire-rates have been fixed.
  • Assault Rifle firing delay has been fixed.
  • Street Sweeper firing animations have been fixed.

Improvements

  • Pedestrians are now able to counter-attack, dodge, backstab, & steal weapons during melee combat.
  • Movement is slightly more responsive while moving & while in cover.
  • More animations during combat have been implemented. Peds can hold onto their wounds, crawl, & more.
  • Weapon spawns for peds is now more varied. Police can spawn with more shotguns & more DLC weapons, including the grenade launcher (TBoGT Exclusive.)
  • Drive-bying with Assault Rifles is now possible (Convertible only)
  • Drive-bying with the Street Sweeper is now possible.
  • The screen will flash red when the player's health is damaged.

Difficulty

  • All guns have been overhauled & enhanced with realism & game balance in mind. Specific changes can be seen on the GTAForums page.
  • Vehicular weapons are also overhauled. The most prominent change is the APC, feeling like a proper tank now.
  • Peds & the player now have roughly the same amount of health.
