For this calculation, the reported value seems quite small. Is this correct?

What are we trying to communicate by mentioning this? That we are seeing far more than what would be random chance?

Eg. For a Hi-C library made using a 4-mer with 4 bp overhang.

The equation is: 1 / np.power(4, site_size / 2)

Which produces an expected fraction at 50% GC of 0.00391.
