cnees/exquisite
"Exquisite" appears to come from the Latin for "from" (ex) and "what" (quis). Huh. Merriam Webster says, "Exquisitus, past participle of exquirere to search out, from ex- + quaerere to seek." Past participle would be "sought out." It all begins to make sense. It follows that "seek" and "what" (quis also means "who," incidentally) would sound similar in Latin.
