211 chatbot is an open source, volunteer project providing Sonoma County residents with 211 resources. The goal is to give residents easy/quick assistance with a plethora of situations such as emergencies, education, childcare, etc.
We are currently seeking volunteers with the following skills or would like to grow the following skills:
- Product Strategy (works w/ Community Champion)
- Help partner with United Way
- Help integrate product with current 211 services
- Research grants to support SMS texting costs
- Design
- Research current user experience for 211 users
- Design chatbot flow
- Backend Engineering (Node.js/Express.js || Twilio || NLP w/ Python)
- Set up SMS texting infrastructure
- Implement chatbot flow
- Add NLP to make bot more intelligent
- Community Champion (works w/ Product Strategy)
- Help partner with United Way
- Help integrate product with current 211 services
